CVRD Being Sued by David Leitch for Wrongful Dismissal-Update with Correction

MasterFiles

Former CVRD Water Manager David Leitch was fired back when CAO Warren Jones was still in charge and then reinstated when it appeared that they did not have grounds for dismissal that would stand up.

When Frank Raimondo took over after the Board he fired Leitch for a second time in mid April.

He was unceremoniously escorted him out of the building as was done to Bob McDonald. And as with the other dismissals terms of dismissal were not disclosed. It is not known if a settlement was paid to Leitch or McDonald but Warren Jones skipped out of the CVRD offices with 335, 000 dollars in his pocket.

However on May 8th Leitch filed a suit for wrongful dismissal in the BC Supreme Court.

***Correction-
In the original post I had written this. When Frank Raimondo took over after the Board he fired Jones for a second time in mid April.

That was incorrect and I apologize to Warren Jones for the error. The version above has been corrected.
