Credit Card Invasion of Privacy. Negative Billing Rampant!

Richard Hughes- Political Blogger

I received the notice (below) along with my last Chevron bill. Fortunately I actually read it surprise, surprise look at what it says.

This is Negative Billing pure and simple. Personal information can be sold, and assigned.

If you do not respond to the easy to miss notice it will be automatically kicked into play.

I decided to cancel my Chevron Gas Card in protest of their policies.

When I contacted the GE Credit office I was asked why I wanted to cancel my card.

When I expressed my concern and opposition to their privacy policies I was advised that I could have access to all my personal information cancelled. It did not mention this option in the letter below. I remained on the line while the woman, altered my account blocking my personal information, item by item.

As a result I did not cancel my account but what if I had not read the enclosure?

Heads up this “Negative Billing” scheme needs exposure!

Why don’t you pay by cash, no interest, no dedt, no mistake in statement.Credit and dedt card are easy to scam than the companies lead you to believe, when you bank account is drained because you used your credit card to buy a coffee , good luck in getting your money back even if you manage to prove it, which is harder than you think you will still have to wait 6 month or longer , cash rules.I know people that can drain your bank account in minutes, it easier than the bank let on.They just what the interest and the fees, cash rules every single time.
